In Conefrey’s Pharmacy we provide several services to help our elderly customers understand how and when to take their medicines. We use a system call Nu-Life Monitored Dosage System (MDS) to organise tablets and capsules in a tray depending on the time of day they need to be taken. This is a free service although we do require 48 hours notice from the patient to enable us to prepare the trays.
We are able to do it on a daily, weekly and monthly basis depending on the situation. If this is something that you think will help an elderly relative/friend please do not hesitate to ask a member of staff. The trays are also available to buy from us if required by anyone for their own use.
A home delivery service is available for housebound patients. For the past few years we have become involved with the Physiotherapists in Pearse Street Medical Centre in a class they run called ‘Slips, Trips and Falls’ for patients who have had problems with their balance or mobility.
If this course is of interest please contact us and we can put you in contact with the organisers for the next set of classes. Personal Information Packs (PIPs) are available in the Pharmacy, please click here for further information.
