Recently, I was interviewed by TV3 News and KFM Radio’s Kildare Today to discuss an article which was published in the British Medical Journal concerning the need to finish an antibiotic course of medicine.

The article argues that the need to complete a full course of antibiotics if a patient is already feeling better is no longer supported. However, research into this area is still ongoing and therefore, cannot be taken as conclusive. We recommend and encourage all our of patients to continue taking their antibiotic course as prescribed by their general practitioners or pharmacists.
