The European Antibiotic Awareness Day (EAAD) takes place tomorrow, November 18th. The EAAD is an annual European initiative that aims to raise awareness about the threat of antibiotic resistance and promote the prudent use of antibiotics.

Recent data has revealed that the number of patients infected by resistant bacteria across the European Union is increasing and that antibiotic resistance is becoming a major threat to public health and the health of all European citizens.
